UNCOVERED: THE WAR ON IRAQ, a highly acclaimed, gripping examination into the fear-tactics, scare-mongering and politics of manipulation the American government employed to justify their reasons for going to war with Iraq. It investigates the validity of the evidence and information sold to the US Congress and the American public in the run-up to war. Resisting the use of spectacle and sensationalism to get its message across, the film gives us the opportunity to see a more thorough view of these troubling circumstances for the first time. Inspired by the unquestioned but perpetually, and conveniently, revised reasons the Bush Administration gave for going to war, Greenwald set out to investigate the Administrations argument armed with the testimonies of experts such as former Weapons Inspector, David Albright and Rand Beers, former Special Assistant to George Bush. In all he assembled over twenty-five experts including former CIA employees, weapons inspectors, politicians, ambassadors, US policy advisors and those in the inner circle of the Bush Administration who willingly participated in the film regardless of their political standing or position on the war itself.
